KES PTSA Community Outreach

This committee is responsible for teaching students the importance of helping others within the community through various charitable drives. 

The Community Outreach Committee is responsible for the following activities: 

• Clothing drives throughout the year; clothes are taken to the Tom Mathis Council Giving Tree in Acworth;
• Canned food drive at Thanksgiving for our families at Kennesaw Elementary in need;
• Angel Tree for special holiday needs and wishes of families at Kennesaw Elementary;
• Assisting the school counselors in meeting any special needs as they may arise during the school year.

All year long, we accept new or gently used clothing for the Giving Tree – see the box located in the lobby of KES.  For Angel Tree gifts at Christmas, we ask for new clothes.
