The Cobb County Public School
Educational Foundation, Inc. (Cobb Schools Foundation) is a charitable
non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing educational
opportunities for the
Cobb
County
School District
schools, staff and students. The Kennesaw Foundation
is a part of the Cobb Schools Foundation and our goal is to sponsor projects
that will benefit students at our local school. To this end we solicit, manage
and distribute funds in program areas that may not be funded by the District.
Our current project is a fund raising effort for an additional playground for
primary and special needs students at
Kennesaw
Elementary
School
.
Foundation Goal: to raise $30,000 for an additional playground
to enhance the play and exercise opportunities for our primary and special
needs students.
2008-09 Playground
Fundraising Plan
Our plan is to raise enough funds for the additional playground to be
built in the 2008-09 school year. On
Sept. 19, 2008
the Kennesaw Elementary PTSA will be hosting a silent
and live auction during the KES 100th year Celebration. These funds, along with individual and
business contributions, will be combined with the 2006-07 brick fundraiser and
auction funds. If you’d like to make an
